The Lord Jesus Christ knows that it takes time for us to grow into a trusting relationship with Him. Jesus Christ is a very patient God. He will take the time to walk in this relationship with you committed and faithful to your needs. Jesus knows the past pains that are written on your heart. None of what you are surprises Jesus. He understands why mistrusts have developed in your thinking. He knows why the idea of love has become tainted for you. Please, I think too many times in life, we are made to feel that if we don’t just instantaneously trust Jesus the minute we hear of Him, that we are lesser followers of Christ. This is not the case! We are in an ever evolving relationship with Jesus. Time builds relationships. As we continue on our journey with the Lord, the history of our timeline with him starts to fortify how we truly see Him. Where others told you to give up, Jesus encouraged you to press on. When others failed you, Jesus upheld you. When the false foundations that your life was built on started to crumble, Jesus rushed to meet you and remind you that it is He that you can build your life upon. Each of these scenarios are ways in which we can see that it is our journey with the Lord that begins to feed our trust for Him. What we can do in the interim? Trust that He is all that He says that He is and then allow yourself to be open to the relationship that He is greatly desiring to have with you. I know that many of you are hurting in your lives. So many of us are facing confusing and troubling issues. Yet we cannot allow ourselves to keep the Lord at arm’s length. We were designed to live in a relationship of being constantly fed by the Lord’s love. When we don’t allow trust to develop between ourselves and the Lord, we are neglecting the very One who has been sent to help us. To trust is difficult for many of us, but Jesus has already given His life in order that you would never worry that He wasn't committed to you. God’s blessings for your evening.
