What holds you back from coming to the Lord? Do you feel he isn’t interested in what you would have to offer? Do you worry that He is someone who will fail you, more than someone who will uphold you? Is your pain speaking louder than anything else in your life? Whatever be the reason, I only want to encourage you that He is patient to work with you. One of the more important understandings that we should come to in life is to accept that Jesus is unlike anyone you’ve ever experienced. Where others would fail to reach out to help you, He ran forward to die for you. Where others would fail to love you, He assures you that there is nothing that can ever sever you from His love. Where others would practice little mercy, He not only practices it, but replaces it with new mercy for you daily. Too many, the Lord Jesus Christ’s name has been no more than a written text in a Bible, left long ago. Many know nothing of a relationship with Him that is current, daily and purposely thriving. The Lord Jesus is so much more than a name in the Bible. He’s the author of love, laughter, joy, comfort, kindness, patience, tenderness, mercy…everything that you wish the multitudes were for one another, He is for us. He seeks a relationship of daily support with you. Daily involvement in your life, not out of wish to control you, but more rather out of desire to love you, to share with you, to strengthen you….to comfort you. Jesus is kind, patient, gentle and willing to give you the time that you need to continue to learn about Him. He wants you to open up to Him, but He knows that it takes time for these actions to unfold from a matter of the mind to a matter of the heart.
